What is the TOPTEN label?
TOPTEN.PT is an independent platform managed by Quercus – the National Association for Nature Conservation, which identifies the most efficient equipment on the national market, based on strict criteria of energy performance, environmental impact and lifetime cost of use.
The portal provides clear information on the best models in various product categories. The selection is based on data collected from manufacturers, complemented by scientific and technical criteria at European level. The rankings are updated periodically, keeping up with technological innovations and the requirements of EU regulations.
Through the portal, it is possible to compare the energy performance of different models, calculate the savings potential compared to less efficient alternatives and make more informed and responsible purchasing decisions.
Models recognised by TOPTEN
FRICON has seen the energy efficiency of 13 models recognised by the TOPTEN distinction in 2022 and 2023. The majority of this equipment was honoured in both years, with the introduction of a new model in 2023, which shows the consistency of our commitment to sustainability and innovation.

HCE 305 S – The HCE 305 S model has evolved and now gives way to the HC 300 SBG – with a renewed design, greater energy efficiency (+6 per cent) and lower consumption.
Although slightly more compact, the new model retains the performance and robustness that make it a reliable choice for supermarkets and shops. With R290 natural gas, a plug-in system and customisation options, it’s a versatile, environmentally friendly conservator ready to stand out in your commercial space.
HCE 305 SG – The HCE 305 SG has evolved and been renamed the HC 300 SG – a new name for a more efficient and compact conservatory.
It maintains the same energy consumption, but with a more optimised design and a slightly more compact structure.
With plug-in technology, R290 natural gas and high resistance, it is the ideal solution for those looking for energy efficiency, mobility and reliability at the point of sale.
LSMR 165 – LSM is the result of more than 20 years of technological development: a robust conservator with high performance and low energy consumption, thanks to its eco-friendly refrigeration technology.
Ideal for frozen products, it offers a customisable POS layout, optimising product communication. Its minimalist design incorporates a low-emissivity glass lid, guaranteeing efficient cold storage with a highly effective sedation system.
SMR 21L CLS – The SMR 21L CLS is a high-performance, energy-efficient solution equipped with R290 natural gas, which makes it more economical and environmentally friendly. Its plug-in technology facilitates quick and versatile installation, ideal for optimising the display of products at the point of sale.
The elegant design, with LED lighting and glass front, expands the display area, increasing visibility and encouraging impulse purchases.
SMR 21T CLS – FRICON’s SMR 21T CLS Horizontal Supermarket Chest stands out for being the top option in the CLS range, designed to be placed at the ends of chest islands. With R290 natural gas, it provides superior energy efficiency. Ideal for promoting an impact display, its configuration maximises the visibility of products, helping to increase impulse sales.
SMR 25L CLS (new distinction in 2023) – The SMR 25 CLS Horizontal Supermarket Chest is the largest in the SMR CLS range, offering a 30 per cent increase in useful volume and 20 per cent more visibility compared to the CLS 210L. With plug-in technology, its installation is simple and practical, allowing flexibility in product display. Equipped with R290 natural gas, it guarantees energy efficiency and sustainability. The minimalist design with LED and front glass maximises the display area, boosting impulse sales.
SMR 170 SLB – The SMR 170 SLB supermarket cabinet is a compact, eco-friendly horizontal freezer with low energy consumption and high performance. Plug-in technology facilitates quick installation and reduces maintenance costs. Made from galvanised steel, it is robust and resistant to corrosion. The contemporary design and straight lines provide ample product visibility. It includes LED lighting, low-emissivity tempered glass and accessories such as dividers, internal baskets, a drainage system and a digital thermometer.
SMR 194 SLB – The FRICON SMR SLB 194 (Top) Supermarket Chest is a top solution for frozen food islands, with outstanding efficiency and low energy consumption. The eco-friendly technology and galvanised steel structure guarantee high performance and resistance. The modern design, with tempered glass and LED lighting, provides excellent visibility, while the 70 mm wall thickness keeps the temperature stable, ensuring the ideal preservation of products.

THC 590B – FRICON’s THC 590B model was a robust and efficient solution for food preservation, characterised by its low energy consumption and high capacity. Ideal for businesses with large storage needs, this model offered durability and easy maintenance. Although discontinued, FRICON continues to offer high-performance alternatives with the same quality and efficiency.
