What versions are available for the SMR range?

25 In the SMR range there are the following ranges:

MD (manual defrosting)
This is the most basic version that FRICON offers its customers.
This is equipment that preserves food at negative temperatures.
In order to defrost this equipment, it must be disconnected from the mains.
When connected to the mains, the compressor works until the equipment reaches a certain desired temperature (example: -20ºC). After reaching this temperature, the compressor switches off during the hysteresis period (until it reaches -18ºC, for example).
The procedure associated with this type of version involves greater effort on the part of the compressor, which consequently results in higher energy consumption compared to the other versions.

AD (automatic defrost)
This is the most advanced version after the MD version.
In this case, the appliance does not need to be disconnected from the mains to defrost its internal walls. Defrosting takes place automatically via a hot gas circuit where the ice accumulated on the internal walls is melted keeping them clean, guaranteeing greater energy efficiency for the consumer. The equipment is programmed to carry out an automatic defrost every 24 hours, but if the customer wishes they can set up to 6 automatic defrosts / day.
The defrosting process is very quick (around 20 minutes) and guarantees the quality of the goods stored inside the freezer.
When connected to the mains, the compressor works until the equipment reaches a certain desired temperature (example: -20ºC). After reaching this temperature, the compressor shuts down during the hysteresis period (until it reaches -18ºC, for example).

AD/VS (automatic defrost / variable speed) or VCC (variable capacity compressor)
This version is the most advanced and efficient of the FRICON products.
Like the AD version, this version does not need to be disconnected from the mains to defrost the inner walls of the preservers. Defrosting takes place automatically via a hot gas circuit where the ice accumulated on the internal walls is melted keeping them clean, guaranteeing greater energy efficiency for the consumer. The units are programmed to defrost automatically every 24 hours, but if the customer wishes they can set up to 6 automatic defrosts / day.
The defrosting process is very quick (around 20 minutes) and guarantees the quality of the goods stored inside the freezer.
When the freezer reaches the desired temperature (e.g. -20ºC) the compressor slows down and switches off less often.
This performance avoids additional efforts on the compressor's performance, contributing to high energy savings and making the equipment more efficient.
The ADVS / VCC version contributes to savings on the M/L Deadline by guaranteeing faster turnover to the consumer than any other version.

What is the consumption of the equipment?

Consumption varies according to each product, so you can find the information on the characteristics label and in the technical data sheet for each device.

What is the difference between a freezer and a refrigerator?

Freezing equipment is designed to receive products at room temperature and freeze them quickly.

Freezers are usually household appliances used for storing meat, fish, vegetables and other foods that are in their normal state (i.e. not frozen).

Refrigeration equipment, on the other hand, is designed to receive food or drink and keep it fresh.

And it's easy to see the difference with the others, as the temperature of this type of solution varies between 0ºC and 8ºC.
