On 10 May, FRICON promoted an initiative that fills us with pride and reinforces our commitment to social responsibility. In partnership with the Town Halls of Vila do Conde and Póvoa de Varzim, we organised a solidarity Run/Walk that was much more than just a sporting event, it was a real movement for a cause that matters.
The aim of the event was to support APPDA Vila do Conde and Póvoa de Varzim, an organisation that provides vital support to people with autism spectrum disorders and their families. With everyone’s support – participants, volunteers, partners and sponsors such as Sogenave, Água Monchique and Jworks.pt – we managed to raise €4,300. This amount translates into hope, support and reinforcement of the resources of those who fight every day for a more inclusive society.
It was a day marked by smiles, mutual help and an inspiring collective spirit. Hundreds of people put on their shirts, literally and symbolically, to walk or run side by side for the greater good. In an atmosphere of sharing and emotion, it proved that when we unite for a common purpose, we can achieve extraordinary results.
At FRICON we believe that our impact goes beyond innovation and the quality of our products. It is also measured in the way we contribute to the community around us. And this event was further proof that, together, we are capable of making a difference.
