A tribute to our founder
‘Social responsibility is one of FRICON’s pillars, a value instilled by our founder, Artur Martins de Azevedo, which we continue to promote in the local community.’ – Management
The culture of high social responsibility and helping the community, cultivated by FRICON’s founder, Artur Martins de Azevedo, continues to be fostered by the current Board of Directors, Isabel Azevedo and Abília Azevedo, who have invested in carrying out and raising awareness of actions of this nature for decades. With every step taken towards the education and development of young people, we build a future where every dream can come true and where every young person has the opportunity to shine.
The future is in the hands of young people
FRICON believes that young people are the key to the country’s future and that it is therefore essential to support and accompany their development and education so that they can follow their dreams and achieve the goals they have in mind. Each award presented is intended to recognise the effort and dedication of these students, but it is also a bet on each one of them to continue studying and investing in their development, and to become individuals with the ability to make a difference in society and in their environment.
The future is in the hands of young people, as they will be the citizens responsible for shaping the world and all the challenges and opportunities that will arise. Each generation brings with it new ideas, new ways of thinking and new solutions to problems that need to be faced and solved.
It is essential to strengthen the active role of educational institutions and parents, who encourage these young people on a daily basis, but it is also crucial to realise that the responsibility for preparing the new generations for the world should not fall solely on educational institutions and personalities.¨¨ Companies play a fundamental role in bringing young people closer to the professional world, offering them opportunities and examples that success is not based solely on luck, but on effort, determination, dedication and, of course, training.
Supporting the academic development of these young people also means helping Vila do Conde, our locality, to visualise a a more sustainable and promising future, where success is the result of hard work and dedication. Educational institutions, families and companies are the essential ‘trio’ for preparing a new generation and FRICON is proud to be part of this collective effort that is sure to bear fruit.
