The profile we're looking for:
- Higher education in accounting;
- Eligible for Talent+ Internship (IEFP);
- Proficiency in Portuguese and English as applied to accounting, taxation and financial management;
- Knowledge of accounting and tax standards, including the Accounting Standardization System (SNC);
- Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements, balance sheets and other relevant reports;
- Knowledge of computer tools, including management software and databases;
- Some experience in auditing, internal control and budget management;
- Effective communication, both in the presentation of reports and in explaining accounting issues to different audiences;
- Teamwork and ability to collaborate with other departments in the company.
Main Responsibilities:
- Organizing and classifying accounting documents;
- Analyzing accounting documentation, checking its validity and conformity, and separating it according to its nature;
- Classifying accounting documents according to their content, recording the data relating to their movement, using the Accounting Standardization System;
- Recording accounting operations, ordering movements by debit and credit in the respective accounts, according to the nature of the document, using computer applications and auxiliary and compulsory documents and books;
- Accounting for the company's operations, recording debits and credits;
- Calculate or determine and record taxes, fees, tariffs receivable and payable;
- Calculate and record costs and income;
- Recording and controlling bank transactions, account statements, bills of exchange and promissory notes, as well as accounts relating to purchases, sales, customers, suppliers, other debtors and creditors and other accounting items including depreciation and provisions;
- Preparing the necessary documentation for management to comply with legal obligations and control activities;
- Completing or checking tax returns and other documentation in accordance with current legislation.
- Preparing accounting data useful for analyzing the economic and financial situation of the company or public service, in particular, lists of trial balances, balance sheets, statements of account, profit and loss accounts and other mandatory legal documentation;
- Collecting the data necessary for management to draw up periodic reports on the economic and financial situation of the company or public service, in particular budgets, action plans, inventories and reports;
- Organizing and filing all documents relating to accounting activities.
